A terrible blessing and a beautiful curse

As some (or maybe all) of you might know. I have a somewhat, depending on my mood, beautiful and terrible to manage afro.

And eventhough people often joke about things getting lost in my hair it has never happened BEFORE.
It all started when last friday I bought 3 boxes of Lego Bionicle. I got home and put one together.
Mind you, some of the figures have really small projectiles that fire with a bit of rough handling. Luckily for me this was one of said figures.
The figure fell, I used my cat-like reflexes (thank you videogames) and caught the figure.

Pew!!!!!!

Shots were fired. Police came to investigate, reporters asked innocent bystanders what happened. And I lost one bright blue projectile. Until............ sunday morning when I washed my hair.

Tldr: yes, once in a while something might get lost in my hair.

A nose ring is a summer thing.

Three weeks ago I had this insane idea to go and get my nose pierced. Even after all the horror stories I heard. Fastforward --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->>> to after it was done. The piercer told me to not get sick during the healing process. Like anyone has a choice in the matter.

Now three weeks later, I'm starting to understand what she meant. What the nice lady said: "It's a very bad idea to get sick right now." What she meant: "Fool, you should've waited until after the cold season to get your nose pierced. But hey, it's too late now. Try to avoid sick people at all cost."

So my tip to everyone who reads this and is considering getting a nose ring. Do yourself a solid and wait until the spring. And then get your piercing done. You'll look cool in the summer and you won't have any problems with the healing process. And you don't want to get sick after you just got it done.

Conclusion: A nose ring is a summer thing!
